I’m currently in the market for a new laptop and considering an Intel Evo i7 device for running econometrics software like Stata and EViews. I need a system that can handle complex data sets and multiple regressions without lagging. With 2024 models coming out, I’m curious if anyone has recommendations for specific Intel Evo i7 ( https://www.lenovo.com/my/en/intel-evo ) laptops that perform well with these tools.

Are there any models or configurations that stand out in terms of processing power and memory for intensive statistical analysis? Battery life and portability would be a plus as well! Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
