  1. Naming of Units

There's two names associated with downloaded files. It is the "Description Title" rather than the File Name that cell phones use to order their listings.
    PLEASE
put numbers on the "Description Title" (not the file name) so that we can hear them in the order Alex intended.

  3. for the webmaster:

Are you aware that cell phones store files in alphabetical order? I believe Alex intended the files be in order given. That order is lots. Please please please put numbers on the left of the file name.

  5. Translations

Translating the lectures or adding subtitles to them would help non-English speakers learn about economics. I am thinking of older persons in France, which often have never been exposed to sound economic thinking.

  6. Adding a built-in Subtitles in English directly within the video, so if we download the video we can read the subtitles directly.

Adding a MBA Courses to the bunch of the MR University will be more than GREAT IDEA. Hence, folks can collect everything under one roof.

  7. Structural and cyclical deficits, discretionary fiscal policy and automatic stabilizer

I would like to see the videos in the future cover the concept of structural and cyclical deficits, discretionary fiscal policy and automatic stabilizer.

  10. Can you learn about effectiveness of price stabalization measure by the government to stabalize prices of agri commodities?

Can you learn about effectiveness of price stabalization measure by the government to stabalize prices of agri commodities? In india onion prices have huge implication for rural economy and politics. Indian government is setting up price stabalization mechanism . They will buy onion when prices fall and release the stock when prices shoot up. What does the economic theory and international experience say about such measures? I am based in India . [email protected] Can MRU help us in understanding the issue better ? Milind Murugkar

  12. Release New Material on a Schedule

You asked for feedback about the Principles of Economics: Microeconomics class.

I know it's too late in the class for this to change, but in future classes it would be nice if there was some predetermined schedule for the release of new material. Long periods of time went by in the class with no new material and no idea when it would be released.

A release schedule when the class starts would be very helpful.

Thanks for the great material. So many of these topics and the way they apply to real-life situations are more complex than they appear on…

We don’t have a course specifically designed for that age but I think you could find useful content in both Everyday Economics and Principles. I have a 7 year old and he enjoys them!

Here are some ideas. Drop us a note at [email protected] if you have a specific topic in mind. If we don’t have it we might be able to suggest some other places.

  15. I need a solid resource on 'the philosophy of science'

Everyone knows this famous raking of so called sciences: https://xkcd.com/435/

Good question, where does economics fit in? And what is science?

How can I participate in so called scientific debate without knowing what science is, in the first place?

I have a feeling that in economics in general you have much story telling and anecdotes, as compared to the amount of 'science' - whatever that word really means.

  16. Love this course! When will section on insurance and moral hazard be complete?

Expand discussion of why health care is burdened with market failures (adverse selection, information asymmetry, moral hazard) and whether introducing high deductible insurance plans will encourage price transparency, thus bringing health costs back to earth.

  17. List of high production value videos?

I would love if you could compile and post a list of the high production value videos (i.e. not the voice over power point style ones). Thanks!

  19. Using MRU with flipped classroom; date for Macro?

Your videos are great and I use them in my classroom and post them on my course website as a kind of hybrid flipped classroom.

When will you have videos up for principles of macro? Thanks!

Thanks for sharing! We’ll be in contact with you as we’re very interested in how our videos are working in a flipped model. You can send feedback directly to me at roman at mruniversity dot com as well.

As for Macro, it’s on deck for this year. I’ll add you to the professor list for course announcements so that you get notified.

  20. Is it possible to download the presentations used in the videos?

Being the kind of learner who needs to read and highlight and make notes on lecture slides I would like to find out how possible it would be to get the slides so I can follow along on a printout and make notes as I watch the lecture videos
